activities, games, stories, saints and more.
Sacramental Preparation:
All children who are baptized and are at least 7
years old are eligible to prepare for Reconciliation (Confession) in the
Fall and Eucharist ( Holy Communion) in the Spring. We use the curriculum
from Loyola Press called "God's Gift". Parents and children meet for six
weeks each session and learn together on Sunday afternoons. Children must
also be attending Religious Formation classes at their parish or Notre Dame.
Parents must be registered with Sacred Heart. First Communion is usually
during one Mass in April or May.
Educational and Spiritual Material Assistance:
The director of religious formation is available for assistance in lending
books, videos and tapes to those interested in increasing their faith and
building their relationship with Jesus.
Summer Family Week: In June for five nights the
parish opens up their doors to all families for dinner, prayer and fun
activities for all ages. The themes change each year and the adult programs
also change to facilitate the needs of a growing parish.
